From 140 years of Gray’s School of Art at Aberdeen Art Gallery to the next generation of artists and designers taking over the studios at Garthdee.

This year’s Degree Show feels like a continuation of that story, shaped by students who are adding their own ideas, questions and creative voices to Gray’s.

After looking back at the people, practices and moments that have shaped the School, we now look forward through the work of our graduating students.

Gray’s Degree Show 2026 is open now. The history is still being made.

Celebrating our Film & Media Class of 2026 🎬

On Friday, during the Degree Show launch weekend, our fourth year Film & Media students came together for a screening of the final year film projects they have been developing over the past few months.

It was a special moment to recognise their creative practice, collaboration and individual approaches to storytelling, from early ideas and research through to filming, sound, editing and post production.

The screening also brought together contributors, actors, friends and families, recognising the collaboration and support that helped bring each film to screen.

Film & Media at Gray’s brings together creative practice and critical analysis, supporting students to develop the technical, conceptual and professional skills needed for the screen industries.

Congratulations to all our final year Film & Media students. It was brilliant to celebrate this milestone with you.

Gray’s Degree Show 2026 is now open to the public until Sunday 14 June.

Open today, Sunday 7 June: 10:00 to 17:00
Monday 8 to Friday 12 June: 10:00 to 19:30
