Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2026 was busy with events and visits all over the country to promote . It was great to meet and chat to so many college students, school pupils and companies and tell them about the options they have with Graduate Apprenticeship courses.

Graduate Apprenticeship Recruitment Officer Ros started off with an Apprenticeship and Careers event at Dundee and Angus College Kingsway Campus to talk about Construction and Engineering options, then it was north to North East Scotland College Fraserburgh Campus to chat to students and then in the evening parents about all our GA options. Later in the week she headed further north to the Inverness area and met with companies before attending an Apprenticeship and Careers Fair at Alness Academy. Everyone she spoke with was keen to find out more of the options open to them and partner companies were interested too.

Great energy in the studio yesterday with Jamie Yorkston and our Stage 1 Architectural Technology students, who took their projects from screen to reality by drawing 1:1 detailed sections of their own building designs. ✏️📐

It’s always a fun and engaging exercise that brings technical detailing to life and helps bridge the gap between design thinking and construction reality.

We loved having S1 & S2 pupils from all over Aberdeen join us for the Northern Lights programme this week! They swapped their controllers for drawing boards, stepping into the shoes of Architects and Architectural Technologists. 📐✏️

It’s all about showing the next generation that their gaming skills = real-world talent. University? Totally within reach. 🎓🙌
