WISERD is the Wales Institute of Social and Economic Research and Data.

The Innovating Democracy Advisory Group, chaired by our colleague Dr Anwen Elias, has published a progress report on how to strengthen democracy in Wales.
 
It sets out key priorities, including improving democratic education and information, and encouraging meaningful public involvement in decision-making between elections.

Today at the Eisteddfod, the Department organised a panel discussion at the Aberystwyth University stand featuring alumni talking about the implications of the 2024 UK General Election for Wales and beyond.
