“Credo in Unum Deum.”

CathSoc Aber is a home away from home for all Catholic students studying in Aberystwyth. We are a community in which all can socialise, grow in faith and become involved in the Parish, and in the Catholic Church. In addition, we equally welcome those who are not Catholic, but who are interested in questions about Catholicism; and also those who wish to strengthen their relat

ionship with God. We strive to spread the love of Christ throughout Aberystwyth and to extend His open arms to all.

A very warm welcome back to all students for the year of 2025-2026!

We are pleased to announce our regular rotation of events:

- Games Nights on Tuesdays!
- Movie Nights on Wednesdays!
- Vespers, Confessions and Campus Masses on Thursdays!
- Garden Volunteering on Saturdays!
- Bible Study and Holy Rosary on Sundays!

This is but a simple schedule for this month, however we have much more planned, which you will hear about in our student group chat- please contact us to join

We are hoping that we can start regular fundraising and volunteering to really exemplify the Catholic mission of this society, but we can’t do it without your help.

Therefore if you have any skills you feel you can contribute to fundraising or any avenues to volunteering, please contact us!

God be with you all and welcome back!

CROESO I BAWB, 2024-2025!

CathSoc Aberystwyth would like to give a warm welcome to all continuing and new members of our Catholic Society- a home away from home for all faithful students of the Catholic Congregation.

Serving in our committee we have a trio of dedicated and enthusiastic members:

Luke Jarvis, our President
George Bolton-Kearney, our Secretary
Renata Freeman Alegre, our Treasurer

We look forward to providing you with the same worshipful and fun events, with the addition of (to name just a few!):

-Rosary Walks
-Group Teatimes and Pub visits to discuss faithful matters and grow friendships
-Discernment events (keep your eyes peeled!)

And more! This year we are placing an emphasis on venturing outside of ourselves, and growing the religious fervour and knowledge of our members. Whether you are new to the faith, returning, or continuing, we hope we can instil within you a passion for Christ and his Church, and help you grow in discernment of how best to serve him in your daily life.

Please see our events for the upcoming week, including the Parish Newsletter provided by our parish priest, Father Matthew.
