Last week, we were delighted to welcome students from South Korea and Peru to our campus!

As part of their visit, students took part in a business decision-making workshop focused on tackling everyday business challenges and developing practical solutions.

It was fantastic to see them collaborate, share ideas, and apply their problem-solving skills in a real-world business context. A great opportunity for learning, cultural exchange, and building global connections.

Fel rhan o’u hymweliad, cyfranodd y myfyrwyr mewn gweithdy gwneud penderfyniadau busnes gan ganolbwyntio ar heriau busnes bob dydd a datblygu atebion ymarferol.

Roedd yn wych gweld hwy yn cydweithio, rhannu syniadau, ac yn defnyddio eu sgiliau datrys problemau mewn cyd-destun busnes go iawn.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Open Day!

It was fantastic to welcome so many of you, meet new faces, answer your questions, and share what makes our community so special. We hope you enjoyed exploring, chatting with our team, and getting a feel for everything we have to offer.

We were delighted to welcome students from Oswestry today for an engaging business and marketing session.

Dr Matthew Price led the workshop, exploring what it takes to succeed in business before challenging students to put their creativity into action with our Toy Makeover Challenge. Working in teams, they used the elements of the marketing mix to develop the next Christmas must-have toy.

Enjoy the sunshine, but stay safe in the heat! 🌡️🥵

Here are some simple ways to make the most of the good weather:

💧 Drink plenty of water – don’t wait until you’re thirsty.
🧴 Wear sunscreen – protect your skin and reapply regularly.
🕶️ Stay in the shade during the hottest part of the day (11am–3pm).
👕 Wear loose, light-coloured clothing to keep cool.
🍉 Eat light meals and snacks with plenty of fruit and water-rich foods.
🚶‍♂️ Take it easy – avoid strenuous exercise during peak heat.

Congratulations to Mody on winning the Top Student Representative Award at this year’s Student Awards!

What made the moment especially meaningful was hearing him dedicate the award to one of his lecturers, our very own Dr Julie Jones. He dedicated it to Julie in recognition of the support she had provided throughout his journey.

Seeing students grow, succeed, and achieve recognition like this is one of the most rewarding parts of our job.

Bringing Nature Back to Campus: Rewilding Aberystwyth University’s Green Spaces.

Researchers at Aberystwyth Business School are exploring how rewilding the University’s green spaces can create healthier, more biodiverse environments that support the wellbeing of humans and other species alike. From wildflower meadows to nature-friendly campus spaces, the project highlights how universities can play a leading role in fostering multispecies flourishing and reimagining our relationship with the natural world.

We would like to congratulate Florence on earning the Gold Aber Award, recognising her commitment to volunteering and student engagement through more than 120 hours of service.

What makes this achievement particularly impressive is that all of Florence’s recorded hours came through her dedication to university-based activities.

Florence has made a significant contribution as a Year 2 Marketing Student Representative, a member of the Senedd, and Treasurer of the Tarannau Cheerleaders, demonstrating exceptional commitment to supporting both her fellow students and the wider university community.

Reflecting on her experience, Florence encourages other students to embrace new opportunities:

“Go out of your comfort zone and make friends with lots of people, even if they are in a different year or studying a different course to you.”
