Martins College in Ambleside will always be remembered for more than just a Campus. This page is designed for former students of the College to upload and tell their stories from their time on (and off) Campus. The University of Cumbria has had to close the site due to losses of over £28m and has admitted that even if it is reopened it will no longer be involved in teacher training, the activity f

or which it is famous and which attracts students from all over the world. As a former student myself, I wish to keep the memory of our College alive so that we can recall memories in an attempt to never forget our wonderful years in Ambleside, whether you were a part of CMC, UCSM, University of Cumbria, were taking a BSc Degree in Outdoor Ed or training to become a teacher, or just have fond memories to share, you're welcome to share.

😁The Cumbria Institute of the Arts class of 2000 are celebrating 25 years and are in the planning stages of a reunion at Brampton Road in August.

😆The St Martin’s College class of 1975 are celebrating 50 years since graduation with an event on campus in Lancaster on Thursday 28 August.

😀The class of 2003 Ambleside campus are planning an event to take place in July on campus.

☺️The class of 1995 BEd Charlotte Mason College are reuniting on campus in Ambleside on Friday 29 August.

Once you've studied in the Lake District it becomes almost like a spiritual home. You revisit time and time again, relive memories of times gone by, take your partners, husbands and wives to visit and share these memories with and then your own children and maybe grandchildren. Hello, hope you are all keeping safe and sound during this very strange and challenging time in our lives. If you are continuing as a key worker, please know that the team here at Memories of Charlotte Mason are grateful for what you are doing.

I thought that this would be a good opportunity to have a walk down memory lane. University of Cumbria have released a tour of the Ambleside campus. Some of it won't look the same and some of it should bring back many happy memories and thoughts for us all.
