Our Agriculture Apprentices had a great visit to Hallow Holsteins during their recent study tour 🐄
Home to a pedigree herd of around 100 cows, Hallow Holsteins is renowned for its genetic excellence, exceptional milk quality, and consistent success at major dairy shows. The visit showcased the importance of long-term genetic planning, as students got up close with prize-winning cows and explored the story behind their success.
From breeding decisions to cow family development, apprentices gained valuable insight into how genetics influence milk solids, performance, and herd longevity—bringing classroom learning to life in a truly practical way🥛
