Pre-Prep 2 enjoyed hot chocolate with the Head of Pre-Prep in the sunshine today.

Pupils earn this reward by gaining points for their ‘wonderful walking’; moving around school thoughtfully and respectfully while others are learning, and this half term it was a dead heat between PP2E and PP2B so the whole year group came together.

It's a time to relax, celebrate and chat to Mrs White. A lovely moment of sunshine and smiles!

Congratulations to Seb on his outstanding success at the IAPS U13 Triathlon Championships, held at Monkton Prep at the weekend.

Representing Ashfold, Seb delivered an exceptional performance, with his dedication and hard work in training clearly paying off as he secured first place by an impressive margin of over two minutes.

Jack and Archie proudly represented Ashfold at the IAPS National Debate Final this week, competing against 11 Prep Schools from across the UK.

They tackled challenging motions on government spending and education with impressive confidence, preparation, and teamwork. Their thoughtful arguments and strong rebuttals secured a place in the Cup competition, where they continued to debate with maturity and determination, narrowly missing out on the grand final.

A fantastic achievement and outstanding ambassadors for Ashfold.

Ashfold runners had a fantastic morning at the Blenheim Palace Fun Run on Sunday. Our younger runners took part in the 1 mile race, while staff, parents and older pupils took on the 7km event. We were even joined by former Head Boy and Head Girl, Ethan and Fran!

It was a brilliant morning for everyone involved, made even more special when Ashfold was awarded 1st place School Team, and we are already looking forward to returning next year!

Pupils enjoyed a fantastic day at the Athletics Festival at Stowe this week, with impressive performances across all age groups and a great sense of team spirit throughout.

The girls’ team achieved a superb third place overall, with strong contributions across the age groups. The Junior boys also competed brilliantly, finishing fourth overall in a competitive field.

There were some standout individual performances, with with first place honours going to Kenzie in the cricket ball throw, Elizabeth in the discus, and Ffion, Rosie and Sam all placing first in their high jump events.

It was wonderful to see such determination, teamwork and enthusiasm on display, a fantastic day of athletics and a great achievement for all involved.

Our Art and DT Masterclass recently enjoyed a visit to Bernwood Pottery as part of Oxfordshire Artweeks.

During the trip, ceramicist Elizabeth Murphy kindly guided students around her studio, offering a fascinating insight into the life of a professional artist and sharing the inspiring journey that led her to where she is today.

Students also explored the exhibition, which showcased the work of seven talented local artists within the beautiful converted barn space, a venue well worth visiting.
The afternoon concluded with pupils sketching the picturesque farmhouse surroundings. A wonderful blend of creativity and hands-on learning.
