Here is the team at Bucks UTC who all played their part in the extremely successful building air test yesterday.
The result was 1.73!

The air test for our BUTC building was successfully completed yesterday afternoon as planned and I am delighted to say the result exceeded our expectations. With air tightness being measured by how much the building leaks, we are required to leak no more than 5m³(h/m²) of air but achieved 1.7 m³. This is exceptional. Passivhaus minimum standard is approx. 1.2 m³ so considering our BUTC building was not designed to meet this standard, this score is clearly a testament to diligence and consideration through design, workmanship and management on site.
Well done to all who helped achieve this!!!

On Saturday 13th July Aylesbury college are hosting the start/finish of a 6 or 13 mile Gemstone Walk for Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity. The College approached us for our help with the supply of power for the marquee and stage. Bam would like to say a huge thank you to Skerritt Electrical for agreeing to provide labour,install cabling and materials all free of charge!! Yet another shining example of how great our relationship is with the college!

We are delighted that Dan Williams has joined our site team to help drive the completion of our BUTC project. He has just completed the brand new Jewish Community Centre ‘JW3’ in London and is glad to be out in the countryside enjoying the fresh air. Welcome to the team!

Our "Garden" is made up of vegetables and herbs. We are growing Runner Beans, Tomato plants, Lollo Rosso Lettuce, Sweetcorn, Beetroot and Carrots. We also have a small Herb Garden Rockery consisting of Thyme, Parsley, Rosemary and Sage. They have all been planted in recycled plastic drainage covers containers and filled with home grown organic compost.
There is a Solitary Mason Bee House for Polinators which is hanging on the cabin, this has also been made from recycled bamboo and other materials.
To ensure the safety of everyone we have strategically placed pieces of recycled rubber safety gloves on the tips of the bamboo cranes and we have tied them together using recycled barrier tape.
Finally, at the front, is "Molly the Meercat" light. She has not been recycled, she is just there to look pretty.

Despite the summer season taking a vacation..........AGAIN.....which is adversely affecting external works, internally work progresses well.
Our next milestone of installing main roof plant and services connections are on track for late May / early June.
