👕 Peer Guides – paid opportunity!

We’re looking for two current Peer Guides to help run a stall at an upcoming Go Further event.

💷 £14.12 per hour.
📅 Tuesday 24 March.
⏰ 11am–2pm (set-up from 10.30am).
📍 Careers Studio, Main Library.

You’ll be chatting with students about becoming a Peer Guide, sharing your experience, and encouraging others to sign up. It’s a great chance to meet students and help inspire the next group of Peer Guides.

Just wear your Peer Guide t-shirt (spares available if needed).

Looking for experience that will stand out on your CV?

The Peer Guide Scheme gives you the opportunity to develop key employability skills while supporting new students as they start their journey at Bangor.

As a Peer Guide you will gain experience in:

✨ Leadership and mentoring
✨ Communication and teamwork
✨ Event support and student engagement
✨ Problem-solving and signposting support services

Peer Guides also receive formal recognition of their involvement from the Student Experience Team, which can be included on CVs and LinkedIn profiles.

It’s a great way to build confidence, develop transferable skills, and demonstrate real experience to future employers.

Mae cymaint o waith caled yn mynd i mewn i hyn cyn iddo gyrraedd eich dwylo 💜

O gyfarfodydd cynllunio a ysgrifennu cynnwys, i adolygu, golygu, dylunio a gwirio pob manylyn olaf… mae’r llawlyfr hwn yn ganlyniad misoedd o waith tîm, ymroddiad a gofal. 📚

Roedd drafft ar ôl drafft, e-byst hwyr, newidiadau munud olaf a digon o goffi ☕ — ond mae gweld y cyfan yn dod at ei gilydd yn gwneud y cyfan yn werth chweil.

So much hard work goes into this before it ever reaches your hands 💜

From planning meetings and content writing, to reviewing, editing, designing and checking every last detail… this handbook is the result of months of teamwork, dedication and care. 📚

There were drafts upon drafts, late emails, last-minute tweaks and plenty of coffee involved ☕ — but seeing it all come together makes it so worth it.
