Cynllun 1660 i ddymchwel Castell Caernarfon!

A 1660 plan to demolish Caernarfon Castle!

Projected demolition of the Castle of Caernarvon "and the Strengthes thereof" names of about 50 gentlemen of the county who subscribed their names in support; also fourteen members of the Grand Jury at Quarter Sessions (2 May,1660); also the names of 17 burgesses of Caernarvon who subscribed under a reservation that the demolition of the town walls and Castle "be not prejudiciall to the Inhabitants of the same"

Transcripts of "Brut y Tywysogion" The first is unquestionably the work of the Rev. Evan Evans ("Transcribeb [sic.] Evan Evans , Prydydd Hir") and appears to have been made from the Red Book of Hergest version.
The second bears no mark of authorship, but the hand is very similar to that of the first. The version in this case is apparently neither that of the Red Book nor of Peniarth 20, but on p.73 the transcriber has copied the following note "Hyn a dynnais yn dalfyr allan o Lyfr y Tywysogion a 'sgrifennodd Caradig o Lan Garfan, medd Dafydd Jones, Ficar Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd" [David Jones , vicar 1589-1618 was a great collector of Welsh MSS.]
