One of the best decisions Chisom made during their MSc was booking a 1‑to‑1 meeting with a university employability advisor.
They wanted a placement where they could gain industry experience while still studying. The advisor gave them great advice and shared available opportunities, and one of them was M‑SParc.
Chisom visited the building, researched the tenant companies beforehand, met some of the team, and everyone was so welcoming. One employer even introduced them to the M‑SParc Skills Academy and encouraged them to apply.
Chisom applied while walking to the bus stop. They selected the part‑time option but made it clear that they could work part‑time and that they are someone who’s fully dedicated and committed to delivering results.
Chisom was selected and placed with Eryri Consulting as a Product Development and Marketing Manager for six months. They attended lectures in the morning, worked in the afternoon, had regular check‑ins with the Skills Academy team, and presented their placement progress after three months.
The best part? At the end of the programme, they received such a lovely send‑off with flowers. It was a beautiful way to celebrate six months of growth, learning, and contributing to the team. Chisom is so grateful they took that chance.
