⚖️ A huge thank you to Basildon Magistrates’ Court for welcoming our Year 12 Criminology students this week.

Students had the fantastic opportunity to see the justice system in action, observing live courtroom proceedings, witnessing a jury being sworn in, & gaining first-hand insight into the judicial process. The visit brought their classroom learning to life & provided a valuable opportunity to hear directly from professionals working within the legal system.

Today, the Upper Academy is delighted to welcome Natasha, Education Delivery Specialist from The Anne Frank Trust UK, who is spending the day working with our Year 10 students.

Students are taking part in workshops centred around xenophobia, exploring important themes through group discussions, case studies, recent news events & current affairs, encouraging students to reflect on how attitudes, prejudice & discrimination can impact communities & society today.

From after-school revision sessions and Saturday School to our popular Paper & Pizza initiative, students have shown fantastic commitment as they prepare for their exams. Sixth Form students have now also joined the successful Paper & Pizza sessions due to their popularity.
