Scríobh Leabhar 2026

Is breá le páistí bheith ag scríobh agus i mbliana bhí athsheoladh an chomórtais Scríobh Leabhar do Ghaelscoileanna ó thuaidh. San iomlán, scríobh beagnach 700 páiste leabhar agus roghnaigh a gcuid piaraí i scoileanna péireáilte na buaiteoirí. I gcomhar le Bord na Leabhar Gaeilge, d’eagraigh An tÁisaonad ócáid cheiliúrtha i gColáiste Ollscoile Naomh Muire Dé Luain. Chuir an scríbhneoir Gaeilge clúiteach, Myra Zepf, caint rí-spéisiúil ar fáil do na buaiteoirí.

Spreagann Scríobh Leabhar páistí le leas a bhaint as a gcumas cruthaitheach agus leabhar a scríobh i nGaeilge.

Ba é Foras na Gaeilge a d’urraigh an comórtas.

Children love writing and this year saw the relaunch of the Scríobh Leabhar competition for Irish-Medium schools in the north. All told, almost 700 children produced a book and their peers from a paired school chose the winners. A celebratory event was organised on Monday by An tÁisaonad in St Mary’s University College in conjunction with Clár na Leabhar Gaeilge. The winners were treated to an engaging talk by the popular Irish-language writer, Myra Zepf.

Scríobh Leabhar, meaning ‘Write a Book’, encourages children to draw on their creative talents to literally write a book in Irish.

The competition is sponsored by Foras na Gaeilge.
