The School of Arts, English and Languages will host an international conference on music, sound, and dance 29 August - 1 September 2026, organised by SARC in conjunction with the Royal Musical Association, the Society for Musicology in Ireland, and the European Association for Dance History.

This conference aims to promote research and practice in music, sound, or dance across all repertories, contexts, methodologies and approaches. Proposals that reflect insights from other disciplines are encouraged.

The submissions portal is now open for applications www.qub.ac.uk/research-centres/sarc/research/rma-smi-eadh-conference-2026/ ; the deadline for proposals is 15th December 2025, 23:00 (GMT).
