On Friday, we hosted one of our favourite events of the year — our in-person Pre-Departure Event on the Belfast Campus. More than 120 students who are preparing to embark on global experiences this summer joined us, with destinations including China, Fiji, South Korea, across Europe, the USA, Thailand, Bali, Guatemala, Japan, and many more.

Throughout the day, students received valuable guidance to help them prepare for their international journeys. Expert-led sessions covered topics such as capturing and sharing their experiences, student wellbeing while abroad, and an interactive cultural awareness challenge.

We hope everyone left feeling excited, informed, and ready to make the most of the incredible global opportunities that lie ahead. Safe travels to all our students as they begin their adventures around the world!

The University of Minnesota, Duluth, located on the shores of beautiful Lake Superior are offering Ulster University students the opportunity to join their 4-week Summer Institute and take part in their 'America: Here and Now' programme.

This experience is an opportunity to study and discuss significant American literature, films, art and music in Duluth, Minnesota amongst an international classroom of students from around the globe.
