It's a Perfect Ten for NWRC's First Cyber Security Degree Graduates

Ten students from NWRC have made history as the inaugural cohort to successfully complete the Level 6 Top Up Degree - BSc (Hons) Cyber Security and Emerging Technologies validated by The Open University in Northern Ireland .

The group all achieved outstanding results, with every student awarded either a First or 2:1 classification. The students will officially graduate at the NWRC Higher Education and Access Graduation ceremony on October 30th at the Millennium Forum.

One of the graduates is 21 years-old Niamh McAuley who completed the course after first enrolling on NWRC’s Level 5 Foundation Degree in Cyber Security in 2023.

The Open University is hosting three fun beginner-friendly Spanish language classes for adults in association with Libraries NI in Ormeau Road Library.

Experienced OU Spanish lecturer Ximena Arias-Manzano will host three Spanish Language Tasters where you’ll learn useful phrases and conversation skills, while discovering more about Spanish language, food and culture. Ximena is an academic at the OU’s School of Languages and Applied Linguistics.

'Financially I had to be independent, so stopping work to study was not an option.'

For Lyndsey, becoming a nurse couldn't come at the expense of supporting her family.
