*"Living with Psychosis in West and Southeast Africa: SUCCEED Africa’s Four-Country Situation Analysis*"

We are thrilled to announce the publication of our latest paper titled, *"Living with Psychosis in West and Southeast Africa: SUCCEED Africa’s Four-Country Situation Analysis"*.

This paper represents a key milestone in the formative work of the SUCCEED Africa consortium. Through a participatory process, we identified the existing gaps and resources needed to co-develop a rights-based intervention for people with lived experience of psychosis in Malawi, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Zimbabwe.

Key findings include:

📌 People with Lived Experience of Psychosis face limited access to services and opportunities across the five domains of the WHO Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Matrix: health, education, livelihoods, social participation, and empowerment.

📌They also experience persistent stigma and a lack of advocacy, which hinders their inclusion in social, religious, and political activities.

Our findings underscore the urgent need for greater inclusion of people with lived experience of psychosis in policy and advocacy to ensure equitable access to essential support services.
