Inspired Festival: Kseniia’s story 🇺🇦🌸

Being born in Eastern Ukraine, Kseniia had her life impacted by the 2014 conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

After moving to the UK, she started studying at BCU and has decided to use her final project to dive into the impact that these events had on her and others of her age that went through the same situation.

Her social media channel, (.yak on TikTok), includes personal stories and those of others. Kseniia hopes to encourage discussions amongst young people that have been affected by war, and explore how it has changed others.

Duckling rescue: a short story (1 min read)

A brood of ducklings got trapped after they hatched on the roof of Curzon.

The Estates and Facilities team came to the rescue. They managed to coax them out using recordings of the mother duck, then took them down to the canal to be reunited.

Thank you, Monique Dell Miller, Trina Greaves, Paul Bridges, Catherina Amoraal, Lee Gilkes, Tanya Webb and Luke Pagett for saving this fluffy family!
