What a week!

As Official University Partner of the 2026 European Athletics Championships, BCU was proud to be at the heart of an unforgettable celebration of sport in Birmingham.

From our students gaining real-world experience behind the scenes, to thousands of visitors joining us in the fan zones, and BCU Sport student Sam Lunt helping Great Britain 4x400m relay team to a silver medal. Our partnership created opportunities, showcased our expertise and brought BCU and Birmingham together.

Almost 100 BCU students played their part across communications, social media, event operations and athlete services, helping make the Championships a week to remember.
