A little sweetness, a little reminder, and hopefully a reason to smile 🍬🫶

For World Mental Health Day, we handed out some sweet treats with messages that we could all use every now and then because you never know when someone might need to hear a few kind words.

Whether it’s “you’ve got this,” “you are enough,” or simply “keep going,” sometimes the smallest reminders can make a difference.

So take this as your sign to check in with yourself, check in on a friend, and be a little kinder to yourself today 💛

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Anisha Chakraborty, a valued member of the Aston Students’ Union community.

Anisha served as Women’s Officer during the 2024/25 academic year and was a passionate advocate for students throughout her time at Aston University. Alongside her elected role, she was a dedicated volunteer with the Aston Student Event Team (ASET) and an active member of the Welfare Committee, contributing countless hours to supporting and enhancing the student experience.

Anisha’s commitment to making a positive difference was evident in everything she did.

Whether she was representing students, helping to deliver events, or working alongside fellow committee members, she approached every opportunity with enthusiasm, kindness and a genuine desire to support others.

Through her involvement across Aston Students’ Union, Anisha touched the lives of many students, staff and volunteers. Her dedication to the Union community and her passion for helping others will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside her.

On behalf of Aston Students’ Union, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Anisha’s family, friends and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. Anisha was a valued member of our community, and she will be greatly missed.
