Watch This - Society for Original Theatre A University of Birmingham drama society. We do improv, new writing and original plays. Watch what?

We are University of Birmingham's society for original theatre! This includes student written full length plays, the Next Stage short play festival, 48 hour plays, Improv workshops and shows, Writer's forums and all of the happiness and hilarity. They say too many cooks will spoil the broth, so it's a good thing none of us are cooks. This is the Watch This committee, for this year at least (and indeed at most). You'll see more about its members soon!

In the meantime, pictures are worth a thousand words, so you can read a tiny novel of primary school tea towel drawings. It's art!

We've heard, via the grapevine, that the Watch This Improv Troupe (of 'Improvabunga' fame) is selling a sexy calendar. The available evidence suggests it contains about twelve months and somewhere between three and four-hundred days.

Join us from 4-6PM this Wednesday in the BASEMENT in THE GUILD OF STUDENTS to give our improv games a try! It’s always FREE!! You don’t even need a membership!

If you’re feeling a bit nervous or just want to watch, don’t worry! Just sit back and enjoy the shenanigans taking place. You can also say hi to any of our friendly committee members and they’ll be happy to chat or help you out! 💕💬

That said, please check out our ‘Behaviour Guidelines’ in our bio to make sure everyone has a great time. We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable at 4-6! 📋💕

SYNOPSIS 🩵🩷🤍🩷🩵
Set in the late 2000s/early 2010s, I Was A Teenage Heather is a body swap story where an insecure high school kid named Gregory makes a wish to be anyone else. That wish leads him to inhabit the body of his bully, Heather Gray. Together they must work to return everyone to their original bodies while trying to keep everyone in the dark about their swap.

✨What IS women-centric 4-6?✨
Watch This run a termly improv workshop that is designed and intended specifically for people with past or present lived experience of being a woman, whether through socialisation, transition, or personal identity. Women often feel less comfortable taking up space so this workshop is designed to give people a space to develop those improv skills!
If you feel like this is designed for you, then it’s for you! No one will ever be turned away from our events. 💜
