We ran our first annual schools STEM competition this year with it culminating in a race day last week. Local schools were invited to compete, entering one Year 9 team.
They have come into our Bispham campus to spend time with our specialist CAD (computer aided design) tutors and Engineers, where they designed their own F1 style car and had it manufactured to their specifications. They then created a portfolio, PIT display, gave a verbal presentation to our judging panel and then got to launch their car down our F1 track to see how fast their design could travel.
Below you will see our winners from this year Brookfield School PLF! Congratulations Chicken Run Racing!
We cannot wait to run this competition again in the new academic year. If you think your school would like to take part, tell them to get in touch!

We are incredibly proud to share that Ben and Harry took home the top spots in the 2D and 3D CAD competition. As part of their prize, they had an amazing opportunity last Thursday to spend a day at Airframe Designs Limited for work experience. They were guided by a former student of ours, who is now thriving in a degree apprenticeship, getting a firsthand look at the industry.

A huge thank you to Airframe Designs for opening your doors and providing this invaluable experience.
