👏 Josh, DofEs Innovator of the Year Award - upcycled clothing range! 🎉♻️ As part of this achievement, Josh was invited by SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK to meet with representatives from clothing retailer Seasalt to discuss the crucial topic of textile sustainability. 🌍👕 An amazing accomplishment, well done, Josh! We’re so proud of you! 🙌

In October 2006, SITA Cornwall Ltd (now Cornwall Energy Recovery Ltd) was awarded a 30-year contract to manage waste in Cornwall.

Yesterday afternoon, our Barbering students had the honor of giving haircuts to two local town councillors! ✂️💇‍♂️ It was a great experience for our students to showcase their skills and engage with the community. A big thank you to the councilors for stopping by and supporting our academy!

Thanks Beach Guardian ❤️

💙 We had a glorious day this week with Bodmin College 6th Form students who did a beach clean and helped out with some marram grass transplanting.

〓〓 Through the Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) programme, which is facilitated through Cornwall National Landscape, Beach Guardian are supporting local dunes systems again.

🌿 The project includes community events and the delivery of dune works to manage site specific issues, like this one at Constantine Bay. Where the buried Christmas trees have trapped sand we move plugs of healthy marram grass to knit it all together so that the exposed sand becomes like the native, healthy, part of the dune.

🌎 We have more volunteer events on our Events tab if you're able to join us... Thanks to Brian and Sue for volunteering with us this week.

Last week, we received an incredible donation of 1,000 red bricks from JATA Construction, delivered to Bodmin College to support our pre and post-16 construction courses! 🙌
A massive thank you to Rob Taylor, Director of JATA Construction, and Will Gough, Regional Director, for making this happen.
This donation is more than just materials - it’s a real investment in our students’ futures. These bricks will provide hands-on learning opportunities, allowing young people to develop the practical skills and experience they need for successful careers in construction.
