Community Project Success 🎉

A huge well done our King’s Trust Team 30 for transforming the garden at New Directions Ltd Waterloo Park Day Service.

From painting and planting to working alongside staff and service users, our students created a brighter, more welcoming space for those living with early onset dementia.

We’re incredibly proud of their hard work and the positive impact they’ve made 💛 Thank you to the Waterloo Park team for your support!

Huge congratulations to Anish, Katie, Natalia and Mya, four of our students who have just completed their scholarship programme with HMRC! 🎉

They gained real hands-on experience across compliance, digital transformation and business operations at one of the UK's biggest employers. We couldn't be prouder.

Thornton College Celebrates Two Outstanding Students!

Thornton College is proud to celebrate the fantastic achievements of two of our students, Daniel Mageer and Caleb Cottle.

Daniel and Caleb recently travelled to Italy to take part in the prestigious Castellarano football tournament, representing Bootle Bucks Football Club. Competing against teams from across Europe, they played an impressive seven matches over the course of the tournament, and emerged victorious, lifting the trophy in a truly remarkable achievement!

HugeCongratulations! We are so proud of you both. 👏

From the workshop to the community 🌱🧱

Our Level 1 and Level 2 Bricklaying students have been putting their skills to work for something really special, building beautiful brick planter beds for The Independence Initiative, with bricks kindly donated by The Sovini Group.

A huge well done to each and every student involved. We couldn't be prouder.

We're proud to share this important film from the Dementia Friendly Netherton project, a community-led initiative delivered by Sefton Council for Voluntary Service - CVS as part of the ReCITE Programme.

Created by Sefton film-maker Roz Di Caprio, the film brings together personal stories from Netherton residents alongside guidance from community providers and health professionals working in South Sefton.

The Netherton Dementia Journey covers everything from prevention and early signs through to diagnosis, living well and why every story matters.

A powerful piece of work that puts community voice at its heart. 🎬

Our CCF cadets enjoyed an action-packed morning of water sports!

Through team paddle boarding activities, cadets built their teamwork and resilience, working together and supporting one another throughout. Strong communication and coordination were essential to staying balanced and moving successfully across the water, and they certainly delivered.

To finish the session, everyone had great fun on the inflatables, with some friendly competition and plenty of water dunking bringing lots of laughter!

Next up is our Skill at Arms weekend, where cadets will learn about weapon systems in preparation for blank and live firing activities taking place in June.

If this sounds like something you’d love to be part of, why not get involved? Click the link below to find out more!
