🌍📍 Year 12 Geography Field Trip – Bournemouth 📍🌍

Our Year 12 Geography students enjoyed a successful field trip to Bournemouth this week where they collected data for their NEA research projects.

The visit gave students the opportunity to apply their classroom learning in a real-world setting and develop valuable fieldwork skills.

Alongside their academic work, students also took part in a range of activities, including a bowling trip 🎳 and a quiz night 🧠, contributing to a rewarding and enjoyable experience.

We congratulate all of our Year 12 students on their enthusiasm, professionalism, and commitment throughout the trip. 👏🌟

Today, our Year 8 form groups took part in an Online Safety Workshop, exploring the impact of phone and screen use and developing their understanding of online safety.

A key focus of the session was demonstrating just how much information phones and apps can gather about us through our online interactions, searches, location data and app usage. Pupils were encouraged to think critically about their digital footprint, the information they share, and the importance of making informed choices online.

An engaging and thought-provoking session helping students stay safe, informed and responsible in an increasingly connected world.

Today, 15 of our Year 10 pupils volunteered as madrichim at the Etgar Challenge, helping with quiz collections, creating ruach, and supporting Year 5 pupils throughout the day.

We are incredibly proud of them for giving their time, energy, and enthusiasm to help make the event such a memorable celebration of Judaism for over 1,000 pupils from schools across the UK. Thank you for representing Yavneh so brilliantly! 👏💙✡️

Well done to our Year 10 Food Preparation and Nutrition pupils who completed their end-of-year practical assessment today! 👩‍🍳🍝🇮🇹

Their challenge was to prepare two dishes fitting an Italian theme, while demonstrating as many complex culinary skills as possible. From pasta-making and sauce preparation to precise knife skills and presentation techniques, pupils rose to the challenge with creativity, confidence and determination.

We are incredibly proud of the effort, resilience and talent shown throughout the assessment. Well done to all involved!👏🍅🧀✨

It was wonderful to see so much talent on display at Monday’s Music Showcase! 🎶

From singing and piano to guitar and band performances, pupils performed with confidence and professionalism, and the audience thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

A huge well done and thank you to all of our incredibly talented performers for putting on such a fantastic evening. 👏

Thank you as well to the Senior Prefect Team for organising the event and helping to raise money for the Music Department and our Am Echad charities.
