Throughout 2026 we'll be marking the University's 60th anniversary by inviting notable alumni from the past six decades to return to campus.

For our next 'Meet the Alumni' session, please help us welcome Ishfaq Farooq, BSc Business Management (2008). He will share his story of graduating from Bradford and becoming a successful entrepreneur as Co-founder and Director of the restaurant chain My Lahore and most recently, Wunder Crumble.

You'll have the chance to hear about his experiences and memories of student life at Bradford, how his time here shaped his professional life, and ask your own questions.

The second lecture in our 6 Decades Lecture series is coming up. Join us as we continue to celebrate the research, careers and projects that started in Bradford and make a difference around the world.

From Lab to Life: 60 Years of Health Breakthroughs will discuss how scientific research shapes the way we see, heal and stay healthy.

We’ll explore how, over the last 60 years, the University of Bradford has delivered research that improves our health and wellbeing. This will include how we understand vision, support healing after injury, help people use medicines safely, and help diagnose infections more quickly.

Learn how these discoveries impact us in our daily lives, and why they matter for public health both locally and around the world. You’ll also get the chance to tell us what future healthcare opportunities and challenges you think the University’s research could focus on.
