Malika, who will begin her four-year LLB (Hons) Law programme at Bradford in September 2026, says the professional work placement, which takes place in the third year of her studies, will provide her with vital experience as she builds towards a career as a solicitor specialising in family law. 🙌

She also encouraged more people to consider applying for the University of Bradford through Clearing for this September.

Komal, who completed her LLB Law programme at the University of Bradford, says the one-year placement she completed in the University’s Students’ Union, has boosted her chances of securing a job in the legal profession. She said: “The academics at the Law School at Bradford really support you. The course itself gives you a lot of work experience. You meet real-life clients during your studies.”

From 57 Bradford schools to more than 400 nationally, it's a fantastic example of how research, partnerships and community engagement can create lasting change and how research is changing lives.

Professor Gillian Murray, Vice-Chancellor at the University of Bradford said: “As a university deeply connected to our city and region, we understand the power of partnership. During Chance's first year of studying Adult Nursing, she completed a six-week placement, including 12-and-a-half hour shifts, on Airedale General Hospital's female surgical ward.

She said: "I have really enjoyed my first year at Bradford. I really enjoyed the placements. They have helped made it all real.

"This time last year, I went through Clearing while I was on holiday. Clearing was a quick and easy process. Once I decided to do it, it was really easy. I wanted to come to Bradford to study."

Places are available for nursing programmes at the University of Bradford, particularly on the Adult Nursing and Mental Health Nursing programmes, and MNurse routes which allow students to be dual qualified, through Clearing for this September.
