Home of the two-year degree, The University of Buckingham is ranked Top 5 for Lecturers & Teaching Quality and Top 10 for Student Support (Whatuni Student Choice Awards, 2025). At Buckingham, we offer students the opportunity to study a degree their way, giving a range of options on how to study, and September and January start dates for almost all courses.

Our University offers two-year degre

es and 4.5-year Medicine degrees, so you can use the extra time to focus on what matters most to you. You can combine your undergraduate two-year degree with either a foundation or postgraduate programme, finishing in just three years. This means you will graduate sooner – you could begin your career a year earlier, go on to further study, volunteer, take a gap year or even explore the world. We pride ourselves on being a small, friendly environment to study and live. We keep class sizes small, so you won’t get lost in the crowd. You can develop your ideas and passions in a truly supportive environment at Buckingham. For our larger cohorts, such as Education, we offer flexible and accessible online study options which attract over 1000 teachers and school leaders to Buckingham each year. We also launched the UK’s first private Medical School, accredited by the General Medical Council (GMC). Our academics are internationally recognised as pioneers in their field. They incorporate their discoveries and insights directly into your degree, so you’ll graduate with the latest industry knowledge. Graduates enjoy strong employment outcomes and are well prepared for future success. Our beautiful riverside campus in Buckingham is only 20 minutes from Milton Keynes Central Station and a short drive from Bicester, Aylesbury, Banbury and Northampton. There is free parking on-site, and we are within easy reach of London and Oxford.

HRH The Princess Royal Opens Citizens Advice Milton Keynes 🎉

The official opening of the Citizens Advice Bureau in Milton Keynes took place on 7 May, marked by a special visit from HRH The Princess Royal. The event also celebrated the longstanding and impactful collaboration between The University of Buckingham School of Law and Citizens Advice Milton Keynes, showcasing the impact of clinical legal education in both student development and the community.

Our School of Law team, alumni, and current students showcased how the Citizens Advice Clinic equips future lawyers with real‑world experience while supporting thousands of clients across Milton Keynes. With more than 40 students trained and up to 6,000 client calls supported in the past four years, the clinic continues to demonstrate the power of collaboration between academia and community organisations.

A wonderful celebration of access to justice, student development, and community impact. Congratulations Citizens Advice Milton Keynes 👏

Each term, we’re lucky enough to welcome two very special visitors to campus: our favourite furry friends, Phoebe and Gizzy from Mane to Mind. 🐴

Organised by our Wellbeing Hub, these visits give students and staff the chance to step away from studies and screen time and enjoy a peaceful moment with the ponies. Their gentle presence creates a calming environment that everyone looks forward to 💛

A big thank you to Mane to Mind for bringing Phoebe and Gizzy to campus, we can’t wait to see them again next term!! ✨
