🏋️🔥 Yesterday our Sports learners on the Gym & Instructor Pathway had the opportunity to experience an exciting CrossFit session at our partner gym, Abs-solute Health and Fitness! 💪

The group took part in a challenging and high-energy class designed to develop strength, fitness, teamwork, and resilience while experiencing a different side of the fitness industry.

Sessions like this give our learners valuable hands-on experience, helping them build confidence, develop practical coaching knowledge, and explore future career pathways within the sport and fitness sector 🏃‍♂️🏋️‍♀️

⚽💚 FULL TIME – End of Season Results 💚⚽

1st XI
Duchy College 1–3 Plymouth Argyle 'B'

Unfortunately, we fell to defeat in our final game of the season. A well done to the boys for all of their efforts throughout the year - we’ve enjoyed some brilliant victories and memorable moments, especially on some of those longer away days in the cup and league! 👏🚌

In our first season in this division, we finish in a respectable 4th place 💪

2nd XI
Lipson Co-operative Academy 7–5 Duchy College

An unlucky result yesterday in a game that was certainly entertaining for the neutral! After being 4–0 down in the 50th minute, the lads scored 3 goals in just 8 minutes to make it 4–3, and for a moment we thought “Lipstanbul” was on… but it just wasn’t meant to be 😅⚽

A massive well done to the squad for all their efforts this season. It’s been a really positive year in a new league, finishing an impressive 3rd place 👏💚

🌟 Student Showcase: Poppy 🌟

This week we’re shining the spotlight on Poppy, one of our fantastic students with a real passion for the outdoors! 🌿

Listen to Poppy talk about her experiences on the course, the outdoor activities she enjoys, and how studying here is helping her build the skills and confidence needed for the future and to seek further discipline qualification.

She also shares what she gets up to outside of college, her love for being active in nature, and the opportunities that the course has opened up for her.

From developing practical skills to building teamwork and resilience, Poppy explains how her time at college is helping prepare her for future pathways within the outdoor industry.

We’re incredibly proud of the dedication and enthusiasm she brings to the course and can’t wait to see what she achieves next!
