Sharing details of Saturday's pilgrimage for those interested in attending.

5 September 2026 starting at 10 am "The day will start at Ely Methodist Church. We will gather from 10 am and once everyone is ready, the pilgrimage will commence from the front door of the church at 10.30 am. The walk will return to Ely Methodist Church about 1.30 pm for a late lunch."

Join us for a September pilgrimage!

Saturday 5 September 2026 starting at 10 am.
The day will start at Ely Methodist Church. We will gather from 10 am and once everyone is ready, the pilgrimage will commence from the front door of the church at 10.30 am.
The walk will return to Ely Methodist Church about 1.30 pm for a late lunch

There is an optional pilgrimage tour of Ely Cathedral at 2.30 pm. This is being offered by the Cathedral’s pilgrimage co-ordinator and is free of charge. It will last about 1 hour. If you wish to, you are also welcome to stay and attend Evensong in the Cathedral at 5.30 pm.
Please indicate at the time of booking if you intend to stay for the pilgrimage tour of the Cathedral (as we need to confirm numbers with them).

Join us online as we explore how embracing diversity can deepen our understanding of God's kingdom, strengthen Christian fellowship, and help the Church live more fully into its calling.

Revd Cleopas Sibanda serves as Superintendent of the Birmingham Circuit.

His ministry spans both the UK and Africa, including service as National Chaplain of the Zimbabwe Fellowship UK and as Bishop of the Methodist Bulawayo District in Zimbabwe.

It's a year on from this post and our move to St Giles Court.

Thank you to our community - sometimes virtual and sometimes joining us in person - for helping us settle into our new offices and routine.

As Acting Principal Dr Richard A. Davis wrote in our latest newsletter "We are continuing to flourish ... with stable staffing
and more students than we have ever had...Our staff continue to contribute to global scholarship through conferences and
publications, strengthening our role as a hub for theological research and reflection within world Methodism."

This morning our Business Director, Alastair, met with Stuart Websdale and Richard Anthony, the Domestic Bursar and Bursar of Jesus College, to hand over our Jesus Lane site to Jesus College, Cambridge.

It is 37,679 days since we purchased the site from Jesus College and our time as custodians of this place has come to an end. It is sad to leave but we leave confident that the buildings will continue to serve the University’s students (including theologians) beyond the foreseeable future.

Meanwhile we look forwards as we put the finishing touches on preparing our new home on Castle Street, ready to welcome visitors this autumn. Do come and see us!
