In this video, Anna Foskett (Lucy Cavendish College Outreach Manager) and Libby Prodger (Pembroke College Acting Widening Participation Manager) share info about the AAP.

Lucy Cavendish is delighted to partner with Pembroke College Cambridge to expand the reach of this free online programme. It offers two years of comprehensive academic support to help students develop their skills, build confidence, achieve top grades, and make competitive applications to university. The AAP has been shown to almost double a student’s chances of receiving an offer from either Cambridge or Oxford.

Applications close at 10am on Tuesday, 6 October.

👏🦴 David Ekundayomi received the award in recognition of his work as one of the Access Officers for the Cambridge University Trauma and Orthopaedic Society.

This included an outreach programme to state schools which he has run over two years, alongside taster sessions designed to give students greater insight into medicine and the field of trauma and orthopaedics.

The Lucy community warmly congratulates David on this wonderful honour.

🎙️🔊 Our latest episode of the Lucy Cavendish Podcast Series is out!

We spoke to Dr Rachana Acharya, a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology in the BioElectronic Systems Technology Research Group, and a Lucy Bye-Fellow.

Rachana is dedicated to the long-term goal of replacing animal testing through different bioelectronic organ models, and currently works with a lab focused on gut models.

She walked us through her current work and experiences at the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, UCLA, and the University of Stuttgart. She also described how meaningful she has found it to be connected to a college, her Lucy life, and noted those who have most notably impacted her academic journey.
