Thank you to everyone who made this year's Churchill College Marriage Formal so magical โœจ The outfits, the atmosphere, the celebrations all came together to make it a truly iconic Churchill evening.

For the uninitiated: one of Churchill's best-loved traditions is the College family system. Freshers are paired with 'parents' from older years who help them find their feet. At the end of the year, Freshers get married, and in their second year they go on to have 'children' of their own. It's a joyful, warm-hearted celebration of the friendships that make Churchill home ๐Ÿ’ซ

Thank you to all of our alumni and friends who joined us at the St. Botolph Club in Boston last night. The conversation between the Master and Professor Sir Oliver Hart, Nobel laureate in Economics and Churchill College Honorary Fellow, was insightful and timely, reflecting the incredible achievements of the Churchill community.

We look forward to the next visit to the US and hope to see more of our alumni then.

At Churchill College, students can access an extraordinary archival collection from the moment they arrive.

Dr James Greenhalgh explains how the Churchill Archives Centre supports his research. He uses the personal papers of leading politicians and sociologists to study how the British government used data about ordinary people after 1945, and the continuing question of who owns that data today.

The Churchill Archives Centre is a world-leading collection of 20th-century history, used by researchers around the globe. Itโ€™s a must-visit for anyone curious about the past and how it shapes our future and huge bonus for Churchill students to have this incredible resource on their doorstep!
