Making PE a core subject in schools and removing 'no ball games' signs are among recommendations in a new report on barriers to sport and physical activity in England.

Good news for Primary Schools!

We're excited to share that the Department for Culture, Media and Sport has confirmed that funding for the School Games Organisers Network has now been extended to cover the remainder of the 2026/27 Financial Year. 🙌

Previously, funding was in place to the end of the 2025/26 Academic Year (August) so is now provided to cover an additional two school terms. 📆

This is great news for our charity and our networks as it means more young people will have access to the lifechanging benefits of PE, sport and play. 🏃‍➡️

The 2026 Primary PE & Physical Activity Conference is officially underway.

We’re delighted to welcome teachers, PE leads and partners from across Kent and Medway for a day of learning, inspiration and practical ideas to support inclusive PE, sport and physical activity opportunities in primary schools.
