Through a pioneering Enhanced Knowledge Transfer Partnership (eKTP) with MM Engineering (MME), a flood defence company based in Port Talbot, Cardiff Met researchers helped bring cutting-edge manufacturing insights from China back to Wales.

From visiting the China International Industry Fair (CIIF) to exploring ten advanced manufacturing facilities across Shanghai, Wuxi, Nanjing, Hebei and Beijing, the partnership examined the latest in automation, intelligent production and digital manufacturing technologies.

The knowledge gained is now helping shape MME’s future strategy, supply chain development and international growth opportunities.

We’re wishing the very best of luck to graduate, Lloyd Macey, who’ll be conducting a very special choir on the Britain's Got Talent semi-final tomorrow night.

Lloyd, who graduated with a PGCE Secondary Welsh in 2021, will be directing Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf’s boys’ choir as they hope to make it to the finals.

The 70-strong vocal ensemble captured the nation’s attention with their rendition of The Greatest Showman’s “Never Enough” in their BGT audition, earning a standing ovation from Simon Cowell.

📸 Members of the choir brought the house down when they visited our Llandaff campus for our Dydd Gŵyl Dewi celebrations back in March - all under Lloyd’s baton.

Pob lwc bechgyn. We’ll be cheering you on as you perform in front of the nation. 👏
