📣We are currently recruiting participants for a study to investigate the effect of a drink with added nutrients on B-vitamin levels in the blood in older people. Help with research and receive £30 voucher 💰

In this, 12-week study, you will be asked to attend the Coleraine campus on two occasions; provide a blood and stool sample at both visits; consume up to two drinks per day. 🥤🥤

Eligible participants are:
· Individuals aged 50 years and over
· Non-users of B-vitamins, prebiotics, or probiotics
· Have no serious illness

Volunteers Wanted for Nutrition Research Study! 🐟

Researchers within NICHE are seeking volunteers aged 18-65 years with LDL cholesterol between 115-159mg/dL to take part in a 12-week research study exploring the effect of a novel marine-based supplement on cholesterol, inflammation, and heart health.

As part of the screening process, potential participants will undergo a cholesterol assessment to determine eligibility for the study.

If eligible for the study:
💊 You’ll be randomly assigned to one of three groups:
1️⃣ Omega-3 supplement group
2️⃣ Omega 3-9-11 supplement group
3️⃣ Placebo group

📍 You will be asked to attend 2 study visits at Ulster University Coleraine

🧬 Study visits include blood sample, body composition, and lifestyle assessments

🐟 Calling families across the North Coast! 🐟

Are you the parent or guardian of a child aged 8–11 years old?
Would you like to learn more about easy and delicious ways to include fish in your family's diet? 🍽️

We are inviting local families to take part in our exciting nutrition research study, exploring ways to educate and empower parents and children to make positive changes towards eating fish.

As part of the study, families will have the opportunity to enjoy a FREE family cookery workshop with former Great British Menu contestant Stevie McCarry! 👨‍🍳🐟

Plus, every family who completes the study will receive £50 as a thank you for taking part. 🎉

📍 Workshops will take place at Ulster University, Coleraine Campus, at the beginning of August.

📣 Participants Needed for Ulster University Study on Type 2 Diabetes
Researchers at Ulster University are inviting adults living with type 2 diabetes in Northern Ireland to take part in a new study exploring how nutrition knowledge influences food choices.
If you decide to take part, you will be asked to:
👉 Complete a short online questionnaire
👉 Log 2 days of your food intake
You can take part if you:
✔️ Live in Northern Ireland
✔️ Are aged 18 or over
✔️ Have a confirmed diagnosis of type 2 diabetes for more than 6 months
✔️ Speak English as your first language
Your involvement will help improve understanding of dietary behaviours and support future nutrition education for people living with type 2 diabetes.
