🌞 Summer Fete Sat 27th June 2026 - 10am-2pm–

Castle & Chapel Tours! 🏰⛪

As part of this year’s Summer Fete, we’re delighted to be offering guided tours of the castle and chapel – a fantastic way to explore the history right on our doorstep.
These tours are supported by the Jacobite Society, a friendly group dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich heritage of Dilston and its Jacobite past.
We’re especially pleased that John Nicholls, who is incredibly knowledgeable about the area, will be leading the tours. John is not only full of fascinating historical insight but is also known for his brilliant storytelling – including some wonderfully spooky ghost stories connected to Dilston!

Each tour will include both the chapel and the castle, giving you a unique glimpse into local history.

The cost will be just £5 per person (payable on the day), with all proceeds going to the Society to help cover essential costs. Please see link below to book your ticket for the fete.

Last week was all about kindness and awareness for Anti-Bullying Week. Our students got creative and shared some powerful messages by:
🧵 Making custom anti-bullying friendship bracelets
🧁 Decorating (and eating!) some amazing cupcakes
🗣️ Having open, honest discussions about the different types of bullying and how we can support each other.

Cambian Dilston College is delighted to have joined the Slaley Leek Club. Slaley is a nearby village, just up the road from us, making it a lovely local connection. Our young leek plants have come from Beveridges, a nursery based over in Consett. With a bit of luck and plenty of care, we’re hoping that by September we’ll be growing some prize‑winning leeks like the ones pictured.

What an afternoon at Dilston’s Got Talent! 🌟
Our students lit up the stage with incredible performances — from sensational singing to show‑stopping dance routines. Their confidence, creativity, and joy were truly inspiring to watch.

A huge well done to every single student who took part. You were all amazing, and we couldn’t be prouder of you. 💚✨

Our students had a brilliant time today getting active on the bikes and racing around on the Go Karts, followed by a great game of football! It was great to see everyone getting stuck in and enjoying themselves!

Calling All Stallholders & Generous Donors!

We’re looking for craft stalls, food vendors, game stalls, and bands to take part in our Charity Event on Saturday, June 27th, 2026, at Cambian Dilston College from 10AM to 2PM!

We’re also seeking donations of vouchers or physical items that can be used as tombola prizes. If you or your business would like to contribute, we’d love to hear from you!
