🍦 A cool start to Year 7 Science! πŸ§ͺ

On their very first day of Year 7, students in 3EA got stuck into a delicious science experiment β€” making their very own vanilla ice cream! πŸ˜‹

The activity was a fantastic introduction to their new topic, States of Matter, as students explored how materials can change between solids, liquids and gases.

Who said science couldn’t be tasty? πŸ₯„πŸ”¬

🎨✨ GCSE Art & Photography Summer Gallery Visit ✨🎨
It’s been two years since our last visit to the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, and wow – it was worth the journey every time!
Our GCSE Art & Photography students had an inspiring day exploring one of the world’s largest open-submission exhibitions. We were incredibly proud of how engaged they were throughout the visit – discussing artworks, sketching, gathering ideas for their own projects, and immersing themselves in the incredible creativity on display.
It was wonderful to see students enjoying not only the art itself but also the beautiful galleries and historic surroundings. A fantastic day of inspiration, creativity and learning beyond the classroom.
A special thank you to the Royal Academy for allowing us to park in the front courtyard, making the visit more accessible for our students and helping to make the day such a positive experience.

πŸ’™πŸŒŠ PMLD Arts Share Day 2026 πŸŒŠπŸ’™
Last Tuesday, Manor Green College was delighted to welcome students and staff from Woodlands Meed College, QE2 School and Manor Green Primary for our annual PMLD Arts Share Day, inspired by the theme of Water.
The day began in our interactive welcome space before everyone enjoyed three immersive activities: a Deep Blue Sea sensory story, a wet and wild attention session, and a sensory bubble-print workshop. After lunch, we came together to enjoy a wonderful performance from the MGC Sing and Sign Choir, bringing the day to a joyful close.
A huge thank you to all the students, staff and volunteers who helped make the day such a creative, engaging and memorable celebration of the arts. πŸ’™

πŸ›οΈ Workplace Visit to Hobbycraft Crawley 🎨

Students from 4MH recently enjoyed an exciting workplace visit to our local Hobbycraft Crawley store, where they gained a valuable insight into working in the retail industry.

During the visit, students explored different areas of the store, including the warehouse, took part in a hands-on activity, and enjoyed a guided tour. They learned about the wide range of roles and responsibilities involved in retail and discovered what it takes to keep a busy store running smoothly.

Our students were fantastic ambassadors for the school, showing great enthusiasm, asking thoughtful questions, and embracing the opportunity to develop new skills in a real-world setting.

A huge thank you to the wonderful team at Crawley for making the visit so welcoming, enjoyable, and informative. Experiences like these help inspire our students and prepare them for the world of work! 🌟

πŸŽ¨πŸ¦‹ 3KL pupils joined students from other local schools at QE2 for a wonderful Creative Arts Day.
Each school had the opportunity to showcase creative work from their lessons. Our pupils proudly presented their artwork illustrating the life cycle of a butterfly, demonstrating their creativity and learning.
Throughout the day, everyone enjoyed performances from the other schools, including singing and play rehearsals, making it a fantastic celebration of creativity, collaboration, and talent.
Well done to all of the pupils who took part and represented our school so brilliantly! 🌟
