🐝 Derry District Beekeepers are delighted to announce our Annual Talk! 🐝

We are thrilled to welcome Hanna Bäckmo to Derry on 26th September for what promises to be a great afternoon.
You may have already seen Hanna on Facebook; she’s travelling to Derry to share her passion, knowledge and experience from keeping 70 colonies and running a sustainable beekeeping business.
Hanna is passionate about her business and the native Irish honey bee, and is a fantastic educator. Her unique way of explaining how beekeeping works and how bees live and work “bees-plaining” — makes her talks both informative and entertaining! 🐝🍯

Students and staff in the Springtown Campus participated in White Ribbon Training workshops this week. These were expertly delivered workshops which were informative and insightful. We had discussion and coversations around the topic of violence against women and girls. Our young people in Springtown fully engaged with the training and it is and really important to put this conversation front and centre.Thanks to Gillian, Corey and Suyi for their expertise.
