Our Story...
Our College is located in the beautiful south of Scotland, the gateway to three countries - Scotland, England and Ireland; the perfect location to learn, live and explore.The main campus is in Dumfries, we also have a campus in Stranraer.
Dumfries and Galloway College provides excellent training facilities in the Early Education & Childcare sector. Being such a key employment area in Dumfries & Galloway, it is important that the courses we offer reflect modern teaching allowing our students to gain the best possible experiences before they enter the world of work. With the Scottish Government’s commitment to expand free Early learning & Childcare by 2020 from 600 to 1140 hours per year for all three and four year olds, and eligible two year olds, which has resulted in the need to recruit up to an addtional 11,000 Early learning & Childcare professionals - there has never been a better time to enter a career in this industry.
