A new study led by Professor Andrew Parker from our Department of Management and Marketing found women are more likely to build close-knit friendship groups at work, while men tend to form more selective one-to-one relationships.

Companies with strong political connections may be more likely to escape scrutiny over greenwashing, according to new research from our Business School.

Led by Professor Joseph Amankwah-Amoah, the study suggests that businesses investing heavily in lobbying and political engagement can face less criticism of their environmental claims, allowing misleading sustainability messaging to flourish.

The researchers are calling for stronger safeguards, greater transparency and independent oversight to help ensure organisations are held accountable for their environmental claims.
