A fantastic evening at the Private View of MetFilm School Brighton’s Graduate Exhibition 2026, celebrating the creativity and achievements of students across our BA (Hons) degrees in Hair and Make-up for Screen & Film, Production Design for Screen & Film, Filmmaking, and Film Business & Production.

The exhibition showcased an inspiring range of projects, offering friends, family, industry guests and fellow students a glimpse into the many creative and production processes that bring screen stories to life.

It was also a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements of this year’s graduates and the collaborative spirit of MetFilm School Brighton.

The evening also featured a prize giving, recognising outstanding student achievement.

Held at the iconic Duke of York's Cinema, the event celebrates the incredible achievements of our graduating students, giving them the chance to see their work on the big screen.

Behind every screening is an enormous amount of collaboration, creativity, and production expertise, bringing together talent from across departments to create something truly special.

Ahead of the premiere of Arthur’s Empire at the Raindance Film Festival, we caught up with MetFilm School graduate Ryan J. Smith to talk about his filmmaking journey, building Skint Film Company, and creating independent features on his own terms.

A graduate of our BA (Hons) Practical Filmmaking (Two-Year) degree in London, Ryan has gone on to achieve significant success with his latest feature, Arthur’s Empire, which has earned multiple nominations at this year’s Raindance Film Festival, including Best UK Feature, Best UK Feature Director and Best Performance in a UK Feature.
