⭐️END OF YEAR RECAP⭐️

What an incredible year for WIPIR, and what better way to celebrate than with a recap of its best moments! 🎉

Whether you came to one of our events, chatted to the committee at the activities fair, contributed to the newsletter, or (most importantly) became a member, THANK YOU! 🤩

WIPIR’s membership increased to a staggering 168 by the end of this year, and we’ve loved welcoming so many new faces into our community. The turnout at events has also been a highlight - seeing you all show up, engage, and support one another is what makes WIPIR what it is 💗

We’re so excited for what’s to come next year for WIPIR, so keep your eyes peeled for the announcement of your incoming committee soon 👀

⭐️WIPIRS FINAL EVENT OF THE YEAR - MEADOWS YOGA AND PICNIC FOR MEMBERS!⭐️

Members! Join us on Wednesday 22nd April (1:30 onwards) for a FREE yoga session and picnic in the Meadows! Keep an eye on our story for the exact location🧘

This session will not only provide members with much needed breather during exam season but also an opportunity to celebrate the end to another amazing year of WIPIR! 🎉

Thank you to everyone who turned out and contributed to such an informative discussion at this amazing collaboration between Women in Politics and International Relations and Girl* Up Edinburgh 🎉

A particular thanks to Helen Whalley, whose PhD studies in gender and competitive debating provided added depth to the conversation about an incredibly relevant topic in Scottish politics today 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Exciting announcement! WIPIR has been nominated for Event of the Year for both the National WIP Student Conference and the Coalition Ceilidh as well as for Best Collaboration 🕺🏼

WIPIR is so excited to announce a collaborative event with Girl*Up on the 24th March (5-6pm) discussing the 2026 Scottish election and its relation to ongoing gender policy issues 🗳️

The event will be both informative and conversational, so feel free to bring any Qs you have to our round table! 🗣️
