To mark this significant anniversary, alumni from the programmes in all their variants* over the past 60 years are warmly invited to a celebration event at the University with former staff, and current staff and students on Saturday 23-Sunday 24 May 2026.

Applications for the MSc Climate Change Management Scholarship are now open.

This award is offered in memory of Dr John Douglass Barber, father of an alumna.

We are offering one scholarship worth £5000, which is available to UK nationals domiciled in the UK, who have been accepted for admission on a full-time basis for the MSc Climate Change Management (on-campus) programme.

It's International Students' Day!

To mark this annual celebration, our Student Experience Team are hosting a GeoSciences Photo Competition 📷 with the theme "Community and International Students' Day"

Whether you are a UK or international student, we invite you to interpret the theme in your own creative way. What does community mean to you? How do you celebrate International Students’ Day? Capture it in a photo and include a short description explaining your interpretation - just a few sentences to give your photo some context.

🏆Each winner will receive a £30 Love2Shop voucher!
📅 Deadline to submit is by end of day 30 November
