Animal Welfare Indicators (AWIN)

Animal Welfare Indicators (AWIN) Our project blends animal welfare research and education in a unique way. Every area of research feeds into both further research and education materials.

The AWIN project addresses the development, integration and dissemination of animal-based welfare indicators. Our research focus is on sheep, goats, horses, donkeys and turkeys. All these species are commercially relevant but often forgotten in animal welfare assessment. Our education and training activities cover farmed, companion and laboratory animal species.
