MathPALS is recruiting student leaders!!

If you are at least a second year student at the University of Edinburgh and enjoy learning and teaching maths, consider volunteering as a student leader to gain valuable experience by hosting MathPALS sessions.

MathPALS runs sessions for two first year courses in Semester 2: Proof and problem solving; and Calculus and its applications. You will need to have passed these courses to be eligible to apply for the position of student leader. The leaders work in pairs and host sessions for about 10-12 students

Sign-ups for MathPALS sessions for Introduction to Linear Algebra 2021-22 are now available!!

Register your interest in joining MathPALS by filling out the following form -

We are still working on finalizing our session timetable and as soon as we have done that, we’ll email you and share another form which will ask you your availability for each session slot in the finalized session timetable. The places are limited and they will be offered on first-come-first-serve basis. If there aren’t any delays, the sessions will begin in week 3.

What is MathPALS -

MathPALs hold informal, fun study groups for first-year Mathematics students, particularly for the course Introduction to Linear Algebra. You can also become a MathPALs leader.
