The Savoy Opera Society is proud to be the oldest society on campus. Every year we put on two shows and several concerts for charity, so there's plenty of opportunities to get involved as a performer. We specialise in Gilbert and Sullivan and comic operettas, but we also put on opera and early musicals. As with any performing society, we need all sorts of people to make the shows happen, from perf

ormers to producers, directors to choreographers, orchestral players and back stage hands. Even if you don't want to take part in a show but love opera, this society is for you, with regular socials ranging from pub crawls to concert trips. We’re so excited to be bringing back the gala concert, a chance for anyone and everyone in the society to perform, with the added addition of our ‘freshers segment’ - a slot within the concert specifically to celebrate our wonderful first years and those new to the society this year! This is definitely not one to miss!
