Senior Student Leadership Team 2026 - 2027. We are delighted to announce the appointment of our Head Boy and Head Girls for the academic year 2026 - 2027. A massive well done to Joey, Evie, Xanthia and Poppy, who underwent a rigorous application process that included submitting an application form and preparing a PowerPoint presentation on “why they would be a good leader at the Academy.” They presented to the whole school via MS Teams and after votes were cast. They were then selected for interviews. We can’t wait to see them actively helping out around the academy. Congratulations!

Today - 7 May 2026, a small group of our students attended a Safeguarding Conference designed to raise awareness of the support services available to young people.

Throughout the day, students took part in a variety of informative sessions. The police delivered an important talk on staying safe online, while DELTA highlighted the risks associated with va**ng. Students also heard from The Blue Door, who provided valuable insight into domestic abuse and the support available.

The event was both educational and engaging, and to top it off, our students even took part in a game of bingo — and won!

A fantastic opportunity for our students to learn, reflect and better understand how to keep themselves safe.

We were delighted to welcome our local MP to the academy today.

During the visit, Mr Pitcher had the opportunity to meet with our newly appointed Year 10 students, who have been selected as Prefects for 2026 - 2027. Mrs Naylor-Williams who oversees the group spoke to our students about the important role they play within our school community.

It was also a fantastic opportunity for our students to discuss issues that matter to them, ask thoughtful questions and gain insight into public service. Mr Pitcher spoke about his leadership, and his journey to becoming an MP and the valuable work that he is involved with.

A big thank you to our MP for taking the time to visit and for inspiring our young people!

Book Swap - the sun was out, so we decided to display the books outside. Students enjoyed selecting books that they wanted to read and it was great to share with others any unwanted and pre loved books 📚 A great way to get reading, and to have a clear out. Thank you to everyone who donated and enjoyed searching for their next read! 🙏
