From poetry to fashion film 🎥 What can you do with art direction? Recent BA(Hons) Fashion Styling & Art Direction graduate .ckstead used the freedom of the course to interpret briefs in his own way, develop his visual language and pick up unexpected skills along the way, from lighting and cinematography to storytelling and filmmaking.
 
Jack has used that freedom to create three original fashion films during his time at Falmouth, exploring poetry, father-son relationships and reconciliation. Congratulations are in order for  BA(Hons) Animation & Visual Effects alumnus Josh Bainbridge, who has received a Scientific and Technical Academy Award for his work at 🎬 Now leading Framestore’s lighting and rendering technology teams, Josh has built an incredible career spanning production, shader development, software architecture and technology leadership.

From showcasing at Falmouth University’s Games Expo to having a paid placement in Gothenburg filming for Zeekr, a global car brand, what started as a quick chat about camera work led BA(Hons) Esports & Livestreaming graduate, Raven Weston, to a job capturing content for one of the brand's biggest promotional pushes.

BA(Hons) Animation & Visual Effects alumnus Josh Bainbridge has received a Scientific and Technical Academy Award for his work at Framestore, where he heads up the lighting and rendering technology teams. Josh's career at Framestore began with a hands-on role in production, where he worked on areas including shader development. He later moved into a broader technology role, becoming a software architect before taking on leadership roles across rendering and lighting technologies.
