Halloween at The Hunterian is back! ⚡🧟‍♂️

Step into the lab (if you dare) for a night of thrills, chills, and spooky delights. This year’s theme is Frankenstein & Monsters – think monstrous mocktails, creepy cocktails, carnival chaos, and a headphone disco to raise the dead.

UofG Welcome 2025 is coming in HOT 🔥

are kicking things off with the big guns – two massive days of their legendary Welcome Fair 🎪,the Famous Houseplant Sale all week 🪴, a full-on Welcome Ceilidh 💃, and a Headphone Disco 🎧 ft. that’s basically chaos (in the best way).

Plus Welcome to Scotland Social, Fast Friends speed mixer, Coach Trips to IKEA, and loads more to help you find your people!

are bringing the energy too – with the Sports Fayre and the return of the iconic Fight Night 🥊 and loads of Taster Sessions to be announced.

UofG Welcome presents: The Big Burns Night Celebration! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎉

Get ready to immerse yourselves in Scottish culture with a night of poetry, music, delicious food, and lively dancing at the UofG Welcome’s Big Burns Night Celebration at The Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery

What is Burns Night? 🤔

Burns Night is a Scottish holiday celebrating the life and poetry of Robert ‘Rabbie’ Burns, Scotland’s national bard. We’ll honour his legacy with a traditional Burns Supper, featuring the iconic “Address to a Haggis,” poetry readings, and a taste of authentic Scottish cuisine.

Your £5 ticket includes:

🍽️ Taster of haggis, neeps, and tatties served with whisky sauce (vegan/veggie, gluten free and halal options available).
🍬 Sample of Scottish drinks, food and snacks.

Drag 101 is bringing it to the runway TONIGHT 💖

Our dragtastic duo Dharma Geddon and Alana Duvey are back to serve the tea (not literally, though it is in a café) at the University of Glasgow’s favourite drag show!

Whether you’re a first timer or a seasoned slayer, this show is open to all and not be missed 💋 Grab a drink, meet new pals, and enjoy the show!

The January Welcome Fair 🎪 is a day-long fair experience featuring stalls from some of our fantastic UofG clubs and societies! Thursday 16th January, 11am-4pm.

Taking place across several rooms in Glasgow University Union (GUU), you’ll get the chance to meet some of your fellow students, sign-up for new opportunities, enjoy delicious refreshments, and collect a few freebies too!
