UofG STUDENT USING EDUCATION TO FIGHT ISLAMIC STATE:
Sherwan Taha has recently completed a one-year master’s at UofG on teaching adults and has returned to his native city of Duhok, Iraq Kurdistan. His education and peace work project will create links between universities and communities.

This week we welcomed the first students on our new MSc International Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies programme. This programme will be a 24 month double masters degree run in collaboration with Charles University, Prague (Czech Republic) and OTH Regensburg (Germany).
The programme is structured around mobility periods where students study at each of the three partner universities for 6 months.

**CALLING ALL BUDDING FILMMAKERS** We have an exciting competition open to all our current students to produce a video demonstrating why students who have applied to the University should make us their No.1 choice. Group or solo entries welcome.

The video should be no longer than 2 minutes and the winner/s will receive £500. There will be 2 runner up prizes of £250. must be used at the beginning or end of the video.
